PERFORMANCE ART/CIRCUS ACT/DANCE/BURLESQUE APPLICATION

 EARLY BIRD Application Deadline: March 30, 2016 ($20 Fee)

FINAL Application Deadline: April 30, 2016 ($30 Fee)

Application to #VALT2016 is a 3-step process. 

2.  Submit your Supporting Materials:

To apply online, you must submit all of the following supporting materials via Dropbox - not by e-mail.

What we need from you:

Please use/share a folder that has your Name/Brand/Collective in its name.  Example: "VALT2016-MagdelinaDance"

Include the following in the folder:

Logo (IF YOU HAVE A LOGO; if not, we will contact you for preferences of listing)

• JPEG or PDF
  
• High resolution for printing.  Minimum 300 DPI
• Minimum size 2x2 inches – maximum size 10x10 inches.
• White or black background.  Do not include photos.  Preferably contains less than 4 colours.
• Use our file naming convention:

2-5 Promotional Images

• Saved in JPEG format
• Photos must be high resolution (minimum 300 DPI)
• Minimum size 2x3 inches – maximum size 8x12 inches.
• Photos should not be branded with logos, and should be of editorial quality for print publications.

1.  Pay the Application Fee:

To apply online, you must pay the application fee before submitting your application.

 Applications received after April 30th, 2016 will not be considered.

Application fees can be paid by:

• Cheque (addressed to Style, Entertainment, Art & Media Society - SEAMS) if applying by mail.  Mail with application.
• Paypal (submitted to SEAMS.BC@gmail.com).

3.  Fill out the Application Form

Please make sure you have completed the above requirements before submitting the application form.

By submitting an application, you herby agree to the following terms

•  All applicants agree to the rules and regulations set out by VALT. 
• All applicants must submit a fully completed application form and entry fee (Early Bird: $20, Final Deadline: $30). 
• Applicants may submit work for more than one category, as separate applications. 
• Application materials will not be returned. Please do not submit original work. 
• VALT will provide the location/sound system and will promote accepted performers to the media and attendees. 
• VALT reserves the right to cancel any of the categories if there are not a sufficient number of applicants and has the absolute discretion to refuse any applicant, decline any participation or withdraw any entries from the  event at any time. 
• VALT reserves the right to withdraw any applicant if the final performers work is not up to standard (unprepared, unprofessional, etc.). 
• The applicants shall be solely responsible for the costs of production, maintenance, safety and good condition of their belongings at the event, and VALT shall not be held liable for any loss or damages of the items brought to the event. 
• All additional promotional material that the performer chooses to distribute, such as press packages and invitations relating solely to their performance, must be provided by the performer. 
• Design, art and music ownership shall be vested with the performer. 
• VALT reserves the right to use all entries and documentation for promotional or publicity purposes before or after the event. 
• All applicants will be notified regarding their acceptance before June 30, 2016 by phone and email
